Primary 6 and 7 pupils today carried out a Skype interview with the House of Commons Speaker John Bercow. Each pupil in the class prepared questions for Mr Speaker and each pupil had an opportunity to pose a question to this prominent politician and engage in conversation with him about his views on politics, his career, elections and his support for Arsenal. The Burrendale Hotel provided a perfect setting for our interview which was entirely driven by the pupils for a full 45 minutes. The level of questioning and confidence of the children was noteworthy in engaging in conversation with one of the most prominent politicians in the run up to the forthcoming general election.
