ICT Presentations in Primary 4/5
Over the duration of the school year, ICT has proved to be a highly successful and popular area of the curriculum. Each child within the class has an individual Chromebook to work on during our ICT sessions, having this resource at our fingertips has enabled us to have our very own ICT suite within our classroom. All children can use Google Docs, Google Slides and Microsoft PowerPoint. They can research various topics by using the internet and can access websites, import images, copy, and paste and edit computer tasks. All children can send their work via email.
Each child thoroughly enjoys using ICT and has developed confidence in their ability to do so. All children have been actively engaged in ICT and have created wonderful presentations via the online slideshow maker; Google Slides. This term, all children presented their very own presentation. They presented this with confidence to the whole-class and their audience were engaged throughout, children were able to answer questions and take comments from the ‘floor’ (their audience). They were able to choose a layout, design, images, and text alongside slide transitions.
This was the first ever ICT presentation for Primary 4s and they did so well! It sure is clear to see that this is an area of the curriculum everyone in Primary 4/5 truly loves.
