Our P6 and P7 pupils travelled the short distance (2 miles) to Castlewellan Forest Park to have the adventure of a life time. Life Adventure definitely lived up to their name. Our two excellent instructors for the day were Rowan and Gerry were absolutely brilliant from start to finish, their instruction were very clear. They were very friendly with the children while at the same time setting very clear boundaries for behaviour and safety. The day was split into include three activities Rock climbing, Archery and Paddle boarding. The pupils completed the first two activities before lunch and after lunch they set sail on their massive paddle boards down the lake. Our staff were slightly worried for one group who a paddle board named Titanic! We are glad to report that all pupils and returned home safely, despite some of the pupils best efforts to give our staff heart attacks at their daring feats on, off and in the Lake!
